Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Building Permit Specialist to join our team! If you have experience navigating city permit offices and are comfortable managing the application process for construction and building projects, i.e. additions, garage builds, and windows we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit building permit applications for residential and commercial projects.
• Track permit progress and follow up with city departments as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to gather necessary documents.
• Ensure all submittals comply with local regulations and codes.
• Resolve issues or delays in the permitting process.
• Maintain organized records of permit submissions, approvals, and correspondence.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with permitting processes and working with city or county building departments.
• A construction production management degree.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience with electronic permitting portals (e.g., Accela, ePlans, etc.).
• Background in construction, planning, or architecture.
