Job Title: Surgical Technologist (CWR)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
Monday – Friday (No weekends, no holidays, no on-call, no float)
3:00 AM – 11:00 PM (5x8 shifts, 40 hours/week)
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Surgical Technologist for an exciting job in Holmdel, NJ 07733 . The Surgical Tech I will be responsible for cleaning, handling, and maintaining instruments in compliance with policies and procedures, while supporting safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.
ResponsibilitiesFollow policy for standardized set-ups and surgeon preferences.
Organize instrumentation neatly before returning to decontamination, ensuring all clean supplies are properly stored.
Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
Label and administer medications according to established policy.
Handle specimens per OR policies and procedures.
Provide decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and sanitation of instruments and equipment.
Remove used equipment and dispose of contaminated needles/syringes safely.
Participate in team conferences to plan and evaluate patient care.
Assist circulator in revising plan of care as needed.
Keep ST skills proficiency checklist current across specialty areas.
Meet physical requirements: lift minimum of 50 lbs., push/pull up to 400 lbs., and stand for full shift.
Deliver care tailored to patient needs (age, culture, language, impairments, etc.).
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
Adhere to organizational and competency standards.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or equivalent training.
Minimum 2–3 years of OR Surgical Technician experience .
BLS certification (AHA).
Hands-on experience in all of the following areas :
General Surgery
Orthopedics
Vascular
Robotics
ENT
Urology
Preferred:
Professional certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) .
