Job Title: Surgical Technologist (CWR)

Location: Holmdel, NJ 07733

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (No weekends, no holidays, no on-call, no float)

• 3:00 AM – 11:00 PM (5x8 shifts, 40 hours/week)

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Surgical Technologist for an exciting job in Holmdel, NJ 07733 . The Surgical Tech I will be responsible for cleaning, handling, and maintaining instruments in compliance with policies and procedures, while supporting safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures.

• Follow policy for standardized set-ups and surgeon preferences.

• Organize instrumentation neatly before returning to decontamination, ensuring all clean supplies are properly stored.

• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.

• Label and administer medications according to established policy.

• Handle specimens per OR policies and procedures.

• Provide decontamination, disinfection, sterilization, and sanitation of instruments and equipment.

• Remove used equipment and dispose of contaminated needles/syringes safely.

• Participate in team conferences to plan and evaluate patient care.

• Assist circulator in revising plan of care as needed.

• Keep ST skills proficiency checklist current across specialty areas.

• Meet physical requirements: lift minimum of 50 lbs., push/pull up to 400 lbs., and stand for full shift.

• Deliver care tailored to patient needs (age, culture, language, impairments, etc.).

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.

• Adhere to organizational and competency standards.

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program or equivalent training.

• Minimum 2–3 years of OR Surgical Technician experience .

• BLS certification (AHA).

• Hands-on experience in all of the following areas :

  • General Surgery

  • Orthopedics

  • Vascular

  • Robotics

  • ENT

  • Urology

Preferred:

• Professional certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) .
